Infants & Children

young boy with therapist

A team approach for the needs of infants and children

At Courage Center we work together with you, your child, physicians, school staff and interpreters to create a highly personalized therapy plan. Social workers are available for mental health and family support services.

We have a dynamic sports and recreation program, an accessible fitness center and a warm-water pool, along with a full catalog of related classes and services. We also can provide assistance in accessing community resources for you and your child.

Our therapists are highly trained, experienced, skilled and friendly professionals who know the key to success is to connect with your child. Therapists emphasize fun, interactive activities and play – all highly motivating to children – to help them gain the skills they need to play, learn, and eventually, work.

We have therapies and services to help you address numerous infant, toddler and school-age child concerns, including:

Getting Started with Therapy

Children of all ages may be referred by parents, health care providers and community agencies.

Our Pediatric Care Navigator acts as case manager to outpatients from birth to 18 years who receive services at our Golden Valley or Burnsville locations. Services include client contact, evaluation scheduling and ongoing coordination of care with client, physician and team. This unique service gives Courage Center clients, with complex needs, a go-to person to assist them and the team, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction. Please call 763-520-0494 or pedscarenavigator@couragecenter.org to speak with the Pediatric Care Navigator.

Courage Center is a participating provider with most health insurance plans, including medical assistance, and will work with you to answer questions regarding coverage. Please Note: Clients are responsible for checking with their insurance carriers to see if a referral is necessary for any service that is not specifically included in the list of services for which referrals are not required. See the Admissions page for details.
