About Camp Courage & Courage North

Cabins at Courage North

Welcoming, Professional, Safe, Fun and Accessible

Link to 2013 Program Catalog and Application

Our camp staff includes health care professionals and well-trained counselors. And our camps are fully accessible in modern resort-like facilities with hot showers and good food.

We give campers a safe place to challenge themselves with activities that help them develop life and leadership skills. The camp experience facilitates the development of personal strengths, such as self esteem, honesty, responsibility and feeling in control of one’s life.

Campers also have opportunities for social interactions, including friendship, positive peer and adult role models, and learning to resolve conflicts peacefully and feel valued by others. The experiences offered at Camp Courage and Courage North are particularly important because they facilitate personal growth in areas that may transfer back to home.

Camp Locations

Camp Courage - lies on 305 acres of beautiful lakeshore, woods and fields near Maple Lake, Minnesota (about 50 miles west of the Twin Cities), and is a modern, accessible setting.

Camp Courage North is set amid 105 acres of towering pines on Lake George, near Itasca State Park in northern Minnesota. It features accessible cabins and facilities.

Families are welcome to tour the camp facilities before the session begins.
