Youth & Adults

Look forward to winter! Take downhill skiing and snowboarding lessons for beginning to advanced skiers at one of four sites: Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area, Welch Village, Trollhaugen and Buena Vista near Bemidji, Minn. Get one-to-one instruction in a variety of adaptive skiing techniques for people with a variety of physical disabilities and visual impairments. Please note, there is a 200 pound weight limit for all skiers and snowboarders due to equipment manufacturer specifications and ski instructor safety.

The registration deadline is Nov. 1, 2011. Registrations received after Nov. 1 will incur a $50 late processing fee. The program fee includes lift tickets, rental equipment and individualized instruction.

Hyland Cost: $290
Location: Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area, Bloomington, Minn.
Days/Times: Sundays, Jan. 15–March 11, 9-10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Mondays, Jan. 16–March 5, 6-8 p.m.
Wednesdays, Jan. 18–March 7, 6-8 p.m.

Trollhaugen
Cost:

Location: Trollhaugen, Dresser, Wis.
Days/Times: Sundays, Jan. 15–March 11, 12:30-3.30 p.m.

Welch Village
Cost:
$290
Location: Welch Village, Hastings, Minn.
Days/Times: Sundays, Jan. 15–March 11, 9 a.m.-noon
(No skiing Feb 19*)

Developmental Race Team _Youth & Adults

From future Paralympians to weekend warriors, the Courage Center Developmental Race Team is designed for independent skiers with disabilities who want to continue their growth as skiers through instruction in Alpine racing. USSA-trained coaches will provide you with sound coaching while you push the limits and gain your competitive edge. Please note: skiers must be able to load and unload the chairlift, and turn and stop independently at an intermediate or advanced level. If you are looking for that next awesome challenge and have a “need for speed,” this program is for you! Cost: $290
