Assistive Technology Manual Goes Global

Cummins Power Generation and Courage Center have collaborated on several projects involving assistive technology. Recently, the Assistive Technology Manual developed by Courage Center employees Sue Redepenning and Jen Mundl made its way to the Cummins Power Generation facility in Stamford, England. There it will be used to duplicate the activities performed in volunteering with assistive technology at Courage Center.

Many interesting topics are covered in the manual regarding making accessibility a reality.  The Cummins Power Generation volunteers in England will start by using the manual to adapt a playground, then use it to create additional opportunities for their employees to volunteer to help individuals with disabilities.

Cummins Power Generation also is investigating opportunities to use the Courage Center model at an additional Cummins Power Generation facility in the United Kingdom, as well as Cummins Power Generation facilities in China and possibly Mexico.
