During the summer of 2010, Courage Center was chosen by the Minnesota Twins to be the Twins’ charity partner for the Major League Baseball/Pepsi Refresh Grant Challenge. Fifteen MLB teams from around the country participated – the Twins and Courage Center won.On Saturday morning, Sept. 24, 2011, representatives of the Twins, Pepsi, Courage Center and the City of Brooklyn Park joined the Jr. Rolling Twins and the (adult) Rolling Twins to break ground on the new field at Northwoods Park, 107th Ave. and Winnetka Ave in Brooklyn Park. The new field, which will be Minnesota’s first competitive accessible softball field, is scheduled to open for summer 2012.

Courage Center manages three wheelchair softball teams: the Rolling Twins is an adult team; the Jr. Rolling Twins JV and Varsity teams are for players ages 7-20. Team members learn fundamental softball skills like batting, fielding and base running in addition to the thrill of participating in games and tournaments, on a local, regional and national level.
