Courage Center Burnsville

South Metro Rehabilitation Services

Courage Center Burnsville, located near the intersection of Interstates 35W and 35E south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis - St. Paul, is a resource and rehabilitation center for infants, children, teens and some adults with disabilities, delays in development, brain injuries, sensory impairments and other health limitations.

Our full continuum of care and services focuses on a holistic approach that includes family involvement. We provide a support system for families and clients. We have a social worker, pediatric care navigator and psychologist on staff to help provide support to families and individuals we serve. We coordinate a variety of support groups to help with the adjustment and management of a disability, as well as offer enrichment classes to enhance development.

Therapy services are designed to help people reach their highest level of functional independence at home, school, work, and in the community. Specific areas of focus include mobility, self-care, and the ability to communicate. Highlights of our program and services include:

Courage Center Burnsville Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of Courage Center Burnsville. Without them we would not be able to offer such a variety of programs and events. We rely on volunteers to instruct, assist, and provide leadership in our programs. We need volunteers to help with daily tasks in reception, filing and office work. We also utilize volunteers for the cars program at the Minnesota Zoo and have special events in the south metro area throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, contact Kurt Wiger at 763.520.0222 or Kurt.Wiger@CourageCenter.org
