Hours:Summer 2010Temporary/SeasonalPurpose:Adventure Camp Staff include Lifeguards and a Supervisor who are responsible for protecting the safety of campers during planned trips. They supervise activities pertaining to all adventure camp programs, develop and facilitate activities for campers. Qualifications: Education/Work ExperienceRequired: one year of experience as a lifeguardPreferred: Two years of camping experience Trip planning and leading experienceLicense/CertificationsRequired: Current Lifeguard certification and First Aid and Professional Rescue CPR Valid Drivers LicensePreferred: Wilderness First Aid Communications:An individual is expected to facilitate communications with clients, staff and visitors in all methods available to them: American Sign Language, Oral English, written communication and use of communication devices.
Physical Demands: 1. The ability to assist with lifting a client and push wheelchairs2. The physical stamina and ability to work and participate in all camp activities for a sustained period of time.
