Description:
The Cabin Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all issues related to Cabin Life.  The Cabin Supervisor works as part of the Leadership team with the Program Coordinator and the Assistant Program Manager.  He/she is accountable for camper wellness, safety, adjustment, welfare and growth while at camp.  In general, the job consists of handling all immediate issues related to Camp Life, which do not require the direct attention of the Assistant Program Manager.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Integrated Planning and Budgeting: Before the beginning of each session, assign both campers and counselors to their respective cabins.  Before each session, review camper's applications and medical forms with the Heath Center staff and Cabin Leaders.  At the beginning of each session, arrange a general watch schedule and staff night out schedule.
2. Strengthening the Culture of Excellence: Conduct staff evaluations with the assistance of the Program coordinator and assistant Program Manager.  Conduct post-camp evaluations and recommendations. 
3. Recruiting, Retaining and Developing Staff: Assist with staff training. Responsible for conduct and welfare of Cabin Leaders, Counselors and campers. 
4. Managing Departmental Operations
5. Quality Management: At the close of each session, review cabins staff's reports on the campers and add any comments where necessary.   
6. Project Management
7. Other: Assist with directing camp clean-up, assist in changeovers 

Education/Work Experience
 Required: 21 years old
                         2 years of resident camp staff experience
                         Demonstrated leadership skills
                         Experience with planning and leading program
Preferred: Experience working with people with disabilities

License/Certifications
Required:  College degree in outdoor recreation, leadership or related areas
Preferred:  First Aid/CPR

Communications:
An individual is expected to facilitate communications with clients, staff and visitors in all methods available to them:  American Sign Language, Oral English, written communication and use of communication devices.

Physical Demands: 
1. The ability to assist with lifting a client and push wheelchairs
2. The physical stamina and ability to work and participate in all camp activities for a sustained period of time.

2. Shared living and sleeping quarters
