Description:Camp Program Specialists are responsible for developing and facilitating activities for campers in cabin groups within the respective program areas. Position prepares, leads and evaluates programs and maintains inventory necessary for program area. Assists Camp Counselors as needed. Courage Center Camp Program Staff provide exceptional quality outdoor and indoor experiences for campers with a focus on Courage Center’s mission of empowering people with physical disabilities to reach for their full potential in every aspect of life.

Requirements:
1. Experience, competence and sensitivity in working with people with physical disabilities and people of diverse races and cultures is highly valuable.2. Be at least 18 years old3. Strong organizational and communication skills, American Sign Language ability a plus4. Ability to keep accurate records and organize logistics of program area
Communications:An individual is expected to facilitate communications with clients, staff and visitors in all methods available to them: American Sign Language, Oral English, written communication and use of communication devices.
Physical Demands: 1. The ability to assist with lifting a client and push wheelchairs2. The physical stamina and ability to work and participate in all camp activities for a sustained period of time.
