WHAT: Courage Center’s Moonlight Madness at Trollhaugen announced today that two nationally-acclaimed bands, The Airborne Toxic Event and Shiny Toys Guns, will headline the fundraising event.
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 17, 2012
Gates open at 5 p.m.; music begins at 7:30 p.m. and continues until 1 a.m.
WHO: The Airborne Toxic Event is a Los Angeles-based band known for its blend of rock music and orchestral arrangements. For a Minnesota-connection, they are also featured on the upcoming release, “Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International,” set to be released on Jan. 24, 2012. The Airborne Toxic Event recorded “Boots of Spanish Leather” for the collection.
Nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronica/Dance album in 2007, Shiny Toy Guns is an alternative/electronic band, also based in Los Angeles.
WHERE: Trollhaugen, 2232 100th Avenue, Dresser Wis.
TICKETS: $45; includes access to the ski lifts and a new concert every hour! Tickets are available at www.couragecenter.org/moonlightmadness.
Proceeds benefit Courage Center’s Alpine Ski and Snowboard program for skiers and boarders with disabilities ($24 of the ticket price is tax deductible).
