The Connect With Courage Committe

Purpose

Goals

1. Develop recruitment plan for strategic volunteer positions.

   A.  Concentrate efforts on developing strategic volunteers from several major sources:

    • Volunteer Leadership Council
    • Program Volunteers
    • Retired Courage Foundation and Board Members
    • Senior Community

   B. Develop strategic recruitment plan and tactics to attract volunteers from each segment.

   C. Build relationships with new volunteers to establish them as ambassadors for further recruiting.

   D. Develop CWC key messages to be used by staff and volunteers.

2. Continue to develop relationships with each non-medical business unit, as well Courage Center as a whole.

   A. Partner with appropriate departments to implement and support CWC goals.

   B. Finalize “True Dollar Value of a Volunteer” project as further evidence to senior staff and department heads of the value of utilizing strategic volunteers.

   C. Be responsive to new needs as identified by Community Engagement Committee and Marketing Committee

Key Measurements

Evidence of expanded volunteer leadership in key strategic areas: Healthcare Marketing, Advocacy/Public Policy, Development, Strategic Board/Foundation/Advisor and Communications.

Evidence of strategic volunteer roles resulting in significant cost savings (i.e. key leadership role in a fundraiser or other critical business area).

A new placement will be considered a volunteer that is new to a CC strategic position, a volunteer that moves from one strategic role to another, or a current volunteer who takes on an additional strategic position.
