This project examines the effects of co-payments in health care use. Recent changes have increased the amount of people’s co-payment. These changes may have consequences in access or use of health care, including purchasing medications or attending health care appointments. Such increases in co-payments may also affect other areas of a person’s life, including having less money to spend on other needs due to the increased cost of co-payments.
This survey is completely anonymous. We only ask for your ZIP code and age to avoid duplicate submissions. We plan to use this survey, your answers, comments and quotes to determine and report on the outcomes of changing co-payments. The information you give may be used to advocate for reducing co-payments and/or influence future policy decisions regarding co-payments. We plan on sharing our results with the public, the legislature and other appropriate parties.
