Six- to eight-week programs

Archery
Chalstrom’s Indoor Archery Center Mondays, spring & fall, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Archery experience preferred

Yoga
All seasons, Woodland Community Center on Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.-noon
RSI on Thursdays, 5:30-7 p.m.

Swimming
Duluth YMCA
Assist YMCA instructors with one-on-one swim lessons for youth Nov.-Dec., 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Kayaking
UMD Aquatics Center on Park Point
Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., June thru August. 
Kayak experience required.

Special Events

Special events are great opportunities to volunteer as a group - school, church, work, or with your family and friends!  Minimum age is 15 years old.

Water Ski Clinic
Monday, Aug. 11, Pike Lake AAA Club. 
Volunteer needs include safety people to ride in boats, assistants in the water and on shore help with barbecue.

Shoot For Fun
Annual fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014
Old Vermilion Trail Shooting Preserve Volunteer training on Friday night is required.  50 volunteers needed to run stations. Shooting experience is not necessary, but must be able to sit outdoors all day in any kind of weather.

Ski programs - 2015

Spirit Mountain
January-March 2015; Tuesday or Thursday evenings

Giant’s Ridge
January 25-March 1; Sunday mornings

Mono Ski Madness Camp
February 25-27; day hours at Spirit Mountain - advanced ski skills required.

Volunteers are needed to provide sports and recreation programs that serve youth and adults with physical disabilities and youth with autism.  Some volunteer positions require specific skills or experience. Training is also provided prior to all programs and events.
