Courage Center Vocational Services offers employment services that combine pre-placement, job placement, job coaching and job retention services. Services are provided in the seven county Twin City metro area for job seekers with disabilities.
This training prepares individuals for competitive job search including: soft skills; proper hygiene; writing a resume and cover letter; making cold calls; completing an application; improving interview and negotiation skills; thank you letters; internet accounts; and resumes posted with the Job Bank. Through placement services, we’ll review an individual’s job seeking skills, update resumes and cover letters, conduct job development, as well as assist a person to negotiate wages, hours, supports and job accommodations. Placement services assists in securing competitive employment.
Through job coaching, we help clients learn specific job duties. We also make recommendations for strategies and accommodations to help people retain employment; as well as provide advocacy and education for employers and co-workers.
Our staff helps clients learn strategies for keeping a job; promote advocacy and education for employers and co-workers; and provides conflict resolution training and assistance; coaching on issues such as job stability and career growth; negotiation skills for wages, hours and job accommodations; and information about other community resources.
