Making a Difference as a Group

Corporations

Courage Center’s Volunteer Services Department supports Twin Cities Corporations in their continuing commitment to corporate social responsibilities for their employees.  Courage Center welcomes individual and group volunteers to support our mission. Individual volunteers are welcomed throughout the organization; group volunteer opportunities are available on a limited basis through our clinic sites in Golden Valley, Stillwater, Burnsville and Forest Lake.  Group volunteer opportunities are also available at Courage Camp sites in Maple Lake and Lake George.

Group volunteer opportunities vary from afternoon clean up projects at Camp Courage to supporting various events like our annual fund raising event, 5K Your Way - Run Walk Roll or Stroll, held each August.  Courage Center also encourages corporations to provide strategic employees as volunteers to assist with business initiatives and Courage Board of Directors driven committees.

For further information on group volunteer opportunities for your corporation, please contact Kurt Wiger (763.520.0222 or kurt.wiger@CourageCenter.org) or Lisa Gacek (651.351.2337 or Lisa.Gacek@CourageCenter.org).

Civic Clubs

Courage Center is committed to civic and community engagement.  Courage Center Volunteer Services Department welcomes local clubs who strive to make a difference in the civic life of our communities through their investment of time and motivation.  Individual and group opportunities are available on a limited basis throughout our clinic sites in Golden Valley, Stillwater, Burnsville and Forest Lake.  Group volunteer opportunities are also available at Courage Camp sites in Maple Lake and Lake George.

We encourage all civic clubs to become involved in our fund raising special events and public policy initiatives throughout the year.

Schools

Courage Center Volunteer Services Department partners with educational institutions in providing service-learning opportunities for students.  Service-learning extends learning beyond the classroom and into the community;  Courage Center promotes learning through active participation.  Individual and group opportunities are available on a limited basis throughout our clinic sites in Golden Valley, Stillwater, Burnsville and Forest Lake.  Group volunteer opportunities are also available at Courage Camp sites in Maple Lake and Lake George.

Students are required to be at least 14 year old.  We encourage and support students to become involved with Courage Center special events and public policy initiatives throughout the year.
