How to Volunteer

Because we value your needs and time, Courage Center has a comprehensive application and orientation. We want to ensure that we match you with the best possible volunteer opportunity. Then we train you to feel comfortable and confident in your work. There are four important steps to becoming a Courage Center volunteer: application, orientation, placement interview and training.

The Four Steps to Becoming a Courage Center Volunteer

1. Application:

For your convenience you can now fill out the application online and e-mail it to volunteerservices@couragecenter.org. Click on this application link to download the form.

2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session.

3. Sign up for an Interview/Placement with a coordinator of volunteers.  You will sign up at Volunteer Orientation.

4. Training: Specific program training for your volunteer position will be conducted by staff in the specific area where you are volunteering.

"Courage Center has looked closely at the diversity of volunteers and as a result offers a range of opportunities to meet the variety of needs people have. It’s very important to work with volunteers to understand what they are looking for to ensure the right match."
