Leadership Development

Courage Center provides leadership development programs for volunteers to learn and practice leadership skills that can be applied both professionally and personally. These programs engage with current volunteers and volunteers in the greater community to expand the capacity of volunteer leadership in key strategic areas.

The Connect With Courage Committe (CWC)

Volunteering with the Connect with Courage Committee is an opportunity to practice organizational leadership in a volunteer role. The CWC works to fill “strategic” volunteer positions and develop new programs that benefit Courage Center.

The Connect With Courage Committee consists of 10-15 people - both staff and volunteers - representing the business areas of: Development, Communications, Public Affairs, Healthcare/Marketing, Strategic Board/Foundation/Advisor and various leadership development components of Courage Center. The chair of this committee is a member of the Courage Center board of directors.

Members should have a commitment to the mission, vision and strategic plan of Courage Center and demonstrated leadership in the organization.  Meetings will be held at least five times a year and sub-committees will be meet as deemed necessary by the committee’s chair.
