Nancy Huizenga has over thirty years of experience in the rehabilitation field. She has worked in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.
She began working at Courage Center in 1985 as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and since then has held a series of management positions: as manager of the Independent Living Skills program in 1990, as Community Based Services Director from 1995-2000, as Director of Community-Based and Vocational Services from 2001-2008 and now as Senior Director of that group.
Huizenga received her masters’ degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her bachelors’ degree in anthropology/sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Huizenga currently serves as a Board member for the Minnesota Work Incentives Connection. She resides in St Paul with her husband and daughter.
