Occupational Therapy

Skills for the Job of Living

Occupational therapists treat people of all ages who have conditions that limit their abilities to perform functional activities in their daily lives.  We help our clients improve motor control, coordination, sensory motor skills, decision making, problem solving and visual perception.  We even have pediatric occupational therapists for our youngest clients.  Best of all, we make the activities of daily living fun.  Our therapists can help with the following areas:

  • Daily living skills (also known as the "activities of daily living" - dressing, feeding, hygiene, etc.)
  • Decreased strength for daily routines
  • Delays in development
  • Energy conservation/work simplification
  • Equipment needed to replace function
  • Fatigue when completing daily tasks
  • Fine-motor problems (use of hands)
  • Homemaking and community living
  • Loss of skills after an accident, illness or injury
  • Memory problems
  • Problems with driving after a stroke or injury
  • Restoring ability to use arm and hand
  • Safety in your home
  • Sensory processing problems
  • School-related problems, including handwriting
