Orientation and Training for Volunteers

Volunteers were a key part of the Moonlight Madness ski and concert fundraising event

The Key to a Meaningful Volunteer Experience

Volunteer orientation and training ensures success for you and for our clients.  Our goal is twofold:

  • provide you with meaningful experiences where you can grow personally and professionally; and
  • provide Courage Center staff with trained volunteers.

Volunteer orientation is designed to help increase your knowledge of Courage Center, physical disabilities, disability issues, information concerning vulnerable adults and Courage Center’s expectation related to volunteers and staff.

The class is facilitated by the Courage Center coordinator of volunteers and/or other staff.  It includes a volunteer disability awareness speaker and a virtual tour outlining Courage Center services.

Attendance is required to be a volunteer.  Sign up:

PLEASE NOTE: If you need an interpreter, you must let us know TWO weeks before your scheduled orientation.
