Improving the Ability to Move and Function

Our physical therapists treat people of all ages who have orthopedic or other health-related conditions that cause pain or limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. They also work with clients to determine appropriate assistive devices such as walking aides, wheelchairs and other adapted equipment needs. 

Specialty Areas within Physical Therapy

Biofeedback: Teaches patients to improve their health by using signals from their own bodies.

LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD: Used to improve speech and limb movement in people with Parkinson's Disease. Offered at Golden Valley (763-520-0312), Stillwater (651-439-8283) and Forest Lake (651-464-5235).

Wheelchair Positioning and Mobility Clinic: Helps determine what type of wheelchair and seating system will best meet your needs, and helps you improve your skills in maneuvering it on a variety of terrain.
