A big thank you to the Rogers Lions, who raised $7,000 for Camp Courage at their 34th Annual Open Golf Tournament June 19, 2012. The tournament, in which 160 golfers participated, is the Rogers Lions’ second-largest annual funraiser. We are most grateful that this year they decided to use the proceeds to support Camp Courage.
Justin Engel, former Courage Center client and now a staff member at Camp Courage, was the guest speaker. Justin shared the importance of camping experiences and the impact of the Lions support for Courage Center Camps.
“It’s unbelievable how many people come out to support the Rogers Lions Club and the work they do in the community,” said Mike Rabe, event chair for 22 years.
