Stroke Rehabilitation Therapy

Strokes can happen at any age – infant, child, teen, young adult, adult or senior, and their impact can range from mild to severe. Many people are discharged from the hospital after a “mild” stroke with symptoms such as: fatigue, memory issues, reduced tolerance for noise or light, driving concerns or difficulties at work. Whether the effects of stroke are mild or severe, we can help.

Rehabilitation After a Stroke

A stroke is a brain injury. And as with other brain injuries, each individual’s goals and dreams can change over time. That’s why Courage Center offers a wide variety of services to meet the needs of each client at any time along their rehabilitation journey.

Services are offered on an outpatient, inpatient or at-home basis. Our inpatient Transitional Rehabilitation Program provides a good option for many clients who are ready to leave the hospital but not yet ready to go home.

Courage Center has more than 30 staff members, certified by the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS), who see more than 500 clients with brain injuries each year at our various Minnesota locations.

Our specialized and experienced staff, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and large group of clients with similar injuries allow Courage Center to provide a powerful rehabilitation community.

The Neuro Navigator and Neuro Comprehensive Team coordinate services to meet the client's changing needs.

We use a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team approach to deliver programs and treatments that are tailored to meet each individual person’s changing needs. Services are offered on an inpatient, outpatient and at-home basis.
