Strokes can happen at any age – infant, child, teen, young adult, adult or senior, and their impact can range from mild to severe. A stroke is a brain injury, and as with other brain injuries, each individual’s goals and dreams can change over time.
Courage Center has more than 30 staff members, certified by the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS), who see more than 500 clients with brain injuries each year at our various Minnesota locations.
Services are offered on an inpatient, outpatient and community/at-home basis. Our inpatient Transitional Rehabilitation Program provides a good option for many clients who are ready to leave the hospital but not yet ready to go home.
Many people are discharged from the hospital after a “mild” stroke with symptoms such as: fatigue, memory issues, reduced tolerance for noise or light, driving concerns or difficulties at work. Whether the effects of stroke are mild or severe, we can help.
