Wheelchair Basketball

youth playing wheelchair basketball

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute's wheelchair basketball program is nationally renowned for having developed U.S. Paralympians! Additionally, our teams have won several National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) National Championships, and many of our athletes have been awarded collegiate wheelchair basketball scholarships.

The goals of the wheelchair basketball program are to promote teamwork, competition and sportsmanship. Placement on a team will be determined by try-outs. No roster cuts. All within the program are members of the NWBA. Season length is September - April for all teams (depending on the NWBA schedule). Come join the fun!

PLEASE NOTE: No participant will be turned away due to financial hardships. Cost sharing and scholarships are available. Contact the program coordinator for more information.

For information about any of the teams, contact Cara Gulbronson: 612-775-2278 or
