Advocate

Advocacy on behalf of all Minnesotans with disabilities is part of the Courage Center mission. We address public policy issues by collaborating, advocating, educating, influencing change and creating awarness for understanding. Much of this work involves fostering relationships with more than 100 organizations dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities.

      Issues & Campaigns

Individuals with disabilities are particularly vulnerable during these difficult economic times. Since 2003, cuts to disability services have exceeded half a billion dollars. The cuts have damaged the community infrastructure that supports individuals with disabilities. Hence the need for increased advocacy efforts.

      Make a Difference

Effecting change is not just about organizations. You don't have to be a lobbyist to call on lawmakers - just an advocate passionate about disability issues. Learn, educate, advocate and recruit others using our accessible tools. Tell policymakers why disability matters. In just a few moments, you really can make a huge difference.
