Making a Difference as a Group: Corporations, Civic Clubs, Schools

Many Twin Cities Corporations have made a commitment to corporate social responsibilities for their employees. Civic clubs strive to make a difference in the civic life of our communities through their investment of time and motivation. Schools seek service-learning opportunities for students. All can find opportunities at Courage Center.

We welcome individual and group volunteers to support our mission. Individual volunteers are needed throughout the organization.

Group volunteer opportunities are available on a limited basis through our clinic sites in Golden Valley, Stillwater, Burnsville and Forest Lake - and at Courage Center Camp sites in Maple Lake and Lake George. Group volunteer opportunities can include:

  • Afternoon clean-up projects at Camp Courage
  • Fundraising events
  • Special holiday projects
  • Public policy initiatives (particularly good for civic clubs)

Corporations are encouraged to provide strategic employees as volunteers to assist with business initiatives and Courage Board of Directors-driven committees.

Students are required to be at least 14 year old to volunteer.  We encourage and support students becoming involved with our special events and public policy initiatives throughout the year.

For further information, please contact Kurt Wiger (763.520.0222 or kurt.wiger@CourageCenter.org) or Lisa Gacek (651.351.2337 or Lisa.Gacek@CourageCenter.org).
